A very warm welcome to St Andrews  Chruch of England Infant school website.

I am delighted to be Executive Headteacher of the Village Schools Federation of St Andrews CE Infant, Stoke Goldington CE, North Crawley CE, Newton Blossomville CE,  Sherington CE and Emberton schools. Our collaborative partnership and strong links enable our pupils to have enriched learning opportunities through the sharing of staff expertise, joint activities (such as trips, sports days, celebrations) and collaborative practises across the six schools. We federated in December 2017 after many years in partnership with Sherington CE School.  I took on the Headship in January 2018 and from September 2018 we welcome our Executive Deputy Headteacher, Mrs M Younger.

The Village Schools Federation has one Governing Board who are passionate about the special and unique opportunities that small village schools, like St Andrew’s, offer pupils.  The Governor's passion led to the federation in order to secure the future of local village schools and sustain the opportunities for individualised learning in small classes with high adult:pupil ratios, and an enriched curriculum that uses the local community, local environment and pupils experiences and interests alongside the National curriculum.  I have taught and more recently been Deputy and Head of village schools for the past 12 years, I attended a village school myself and am passionate about leading St Andrews on it's journey to Outstanding.

St Andrew’s is situated in the village of Great Linford in Milton Keynes.  It is surrounded by open spaces, ancient trees and has the canal running throughthe middle.  We use the local area as an extended classroom enjoying forest school activities in the local manor house gardens.  St Andrew's pupils are happy and caring being taught and nurtured by a team of dedicated staff who are committed to inclusive practises and safeguarding.  The school benefits from the close partnerships with parents and carers, the local church and other local schools. We pride ourselves on our Christian ethos and Christian values which underpin daily life. Teaching at St Andrew’s CE School is a privilege, learning is a joy, as one parent commented “Thank you for making our time at Andrew’s so wonderful. Thank you for everything, we will all treasure this chapter in our lives forever because you made it so special."

If you would like to visit us and see us in action, please call the office and arrange a time, you will be most welcome.

We are one, we are strongest working together in unity. Teamwork is the key to living life in harmony, so that we can do God's will. 1 Corinthians 12:14

Best Wishes
