Linford Lakes Nature Reserve Educational Visit

We set off in the gardens.
We found all sorts of creatures in the garden.
Then the real fun began!!!
Pond dipping!
We found a wide variety of pond life.
We looked carefully to see what we had found.
We went to the lab to identify what we had found.
And even had time for a little game!
The afternoon was all about minibeasts.
We set off for the fields.
The grass was very long.
We used our nets to capture minibeasts.
We looked in various habitats.
Different minibeasts lived in different habitats.
Phew - what a busy day!!

Sea Life Centre Visit 09.05.2019

And we were off!
Finding out what the sea life creatures eat.
The food was extremely smelly!
We learned that coral is alive.
We watched the rays being fed.
The rays suck their food off the floor of the sea.
The rays were fed pieces of chopped up fish.
Seahorses are the slowest fish in the sea!
They are very graceful though.
Some penguins were sitting on their eggs.
This ray came up to say hello.
We spotted a starfish in the rockpool.
We saw all sorts of creatures!!
Jellyfish have been around since before dinosaurs.
Sea turtles can live for over 100 years.
Going through the Ocean Tunnel was amazing.
We saw sharks ...
and rays ...
and more sharks ...
