During the summer term, St Andrews CE Infant School had an unexpected visitor. A gentleman, Derek Gutteridge, who used to live in Great Linford village when he was a small boy and attended St Andrews Infant School more than 50 years ago, popped in on holiday from the Lake District on the chance that he could look at how the building had changed. more >>

If taking the whole school on a trip to the seaside seems an impossible dream, then the alternative could be to bring the seaside to school! That's exactly what has happened at St Andrews CE Infant School in Great Linford. Staff showed their dedication by carrying one tonne of sand into a classroom on a wet day in the half-term, to transform the theme area from a tropical jungle into a beach! more >>
The walk was in aid of Schoolchildren For Children – this charity is supported by Dame Kelly Holmes. The charities aim is to expand school participation nationally in sporting/healthy activities. The children of St Andrews raised a total of £267 – a great achievement for such a small school. The charity received 50% of this total and the remaining 50% was for the benefit of the school.
