The walk was in aid of Schoolchildren For Children – this charity is supported by Dame Kelly Holmes.  The charities aim is to expand school participation nationally in sporting/healthy activities.  The children of St Andrews raised a total of £267 – a great achievement for such a small school.  The charity received  50% of this total and the remaining 50% was for the benefit of the school.
